DISCOGRAPHY - OVERVIEW Here is an overview for the benefit of those listeners who are new to the music of Uli Jon Roth. For those who want to get acquainted with Uli's music we strongly recommend to begin by listening to albums from the Third Period, which is listed below as ‘Uli Jon Roth' albums.
Although there are many people who love both Uli's work with the Scorpions as well as with Electric Sun, the style(s) of music from those earlier periods (~20 years ago) is not at all representative of where Uli's musical mind is now.

From the beginning of his life as a recording artist, Uli Jon Roth's overriding motto has been ‘quality over quantity'.  Never one to pander to the demands of the market place, Uli has always produced albums, which were practically unlike anything else around at the time. It can be safely argued that each album that U.J.R. has been involved in, has left a lasting impression and has touched a lot of people.This may be one of the reasons why even his older albums continue to be in demand and have seen numerous re-releases over the years. These secondary albums and compilations, which resulted, will largely be omitted from this discography, unless they contain some new aspects worth mentioning.
It is intended to make the discography more complete and more detailed at a later date, but for now we will present the major albums and official releases as well as a small number of albums which contain only contributions by U.J.R.

The history of each album will be explained under the section of “Bands & Concepts”, while the genesis of the music will be looked at more fully under “Recordings & Albums” at a later date.
