Uli is usually working on several projects at the same time
as this way of working best suits his flow of inspiration.
He will often complete large chunks of a work in a short period
of time, but then move onto something else in order to give
his subconscious time to let things mature. This is why
certain projects may take years to complete.
Although Uli is a fast worker who always can rely on a
constant flow of inspiration and ideas, he prefers to gain a
certain amount of distance from a project in order to bring it to
a point of quality which will satisfy him.
This is why he does not like to be rushed by so-called dead lines
and sometimes chooses to ignore them when he feels the work in
progress is not yet ready for release. In the course of a day Uli
will often seamlessly switch from one art form or project
to another and prefers to deal with a wide variety of subjects
at any given time.
Here are his most important current projects in no particular order:

Uli Jon Roth is currently recording a new album at Sky Studios.
The name of the CD will be "Under A Dark Sky".
No release date has been fixed as yet, but it is hoped that
the album will be finished before the autumn of 2007.
Uli Jon Roth has begun directing a film under the title of
"METAMORPHOSIS". The film is based around the music
of the album and is featuring U.J.R. & SKY ORCHESTRA.
Filming will take place in a variety of locations in Europe
and will be an ongoing concern for some time to come.
Uli’s longest piece in the making is "REQUIEM FOR AN ANGEL",
written for MONIKA DANNEMANN.
Uli has composed a large orchestral score for the piece and has
already recorded many parts of it with a variety of musicians.
No release date has been set for this work as yet.
Uli is working on three books simultaneously on and off.
The first one has the title “MONIKA - ARTIST OF THE INNER LIGHT”.
It is devoted to the art of Monika Dannemann and will contain
a large number of her oil paintings - many of them as yet unpublished -
with interpretations and explanations by U.J.R.

A second book in the making is called “THE METAPHYSICS OF MUSIC”
Here Uli gives his very own insights into the deeper mysteries of music.
A third one is called “THE TAO OF INSPIRATION”.
Uli started writing it at the beginning of last year and has already
written substantial sections.
